Abstract: The objective of this Research is to study the water quality of surface water for domestic production within the Bangkhonti district, Samutsongkhram Province. And find the guidelines for the management of water resources for consumption. This research studied the water quality of the area in the 13th district in the Bangkhonti district. Water ampling were collected at 9 sampling site for main canal with a large number 9 points and 41 sampling site for small cannal. Water samples were collected in two seasons: summer on 27-28. April 2012 and 26 to 27 March 2012, and the rainy season on 27-28 July and 18-19 August 2012. Physical analysis of water quality, including water temperature, pH was found in the surface water quality standards of the 3 types of Pollution Control Department , Thailand. The turbidity of the water and total dissolved solids (TDS) is not so high. And it can not be compared with the criterion standard, BecauseThere is not set standard. Chemical water quality parameters, including dissolved oxygen (DO), Biochemecal Demand (BOD) and nitrogen in nitrate and ammonium form. The average surface water quality criteria in three categories of the PCD. The nitrogen in the nitrate is low but can not be compared with the criterion standard. BecauseThere is not set standard. Concentration of heavy metals in water, lead and cadmium were higher than the surface water quality standards of PCD. Zinc and copper are lower than standards of PCD. The guidance on the management of water resources for domestic public interviews of district Khonthi. Near rivers and canals of the sampling points and the guidelines of Conference on Water Quality Management. Concluded that the project would provide a conservative view to the canal. Was the implementation and individuals who are involved in the operation. And measures to reduce the emission of waste water from the source into the canal like to have grease traps etc.
