Abstract: The study of environmental qualities for appropriate firefly habitat in riverside along orchard area in Amphawa District was conducted during June - August 2010. The study sites were selected by focused on three canals which are located among different types of orchard and also being the habitat of fireflies. The results reveled that water qualities were over the national water quality standard (class II). At Khlong Kwae Om, dissolved oxygen was below 4 mg/l. However, at Khlong Bang Nang Li and Khlong Tha Ka which is the representative of Pomelo and Coconut Orchard, firefly population is related with good environmental qualities, respectively.
