Title: A Study of Dhamma in Buddhism and His Majesty the King's Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy of Officers, Directorate of Inspector General

Abstract: The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the knowledge of His Majesty the King's Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy and Dhamma in Buddhism of officers of the Directorate of Inspector General; 2) to compare their knowledge and understanding of the philosophy and Dhamma in Buddhism that classified by personal factors; 3) to study how to apply the concepts of the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy and Dhamma into their life style; 4) to compare the concepts of the philosophy and Dhamma and apply them into the life style of those officers that classified by personal factors; and, 5) to study the relationship between the knowledge and understanding of the philosophy and Dhamma in Buddhism and how to apply the two concepts into their life style. The researcher had studied from the samples of 104 officers. The tool used was a questionnaire and the data were analyzed by a computer program called SPSS for Windows. The statistics employed were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one way analysis of variance and Pearson's Coefficient of Correlation. The research results are that, in general, the overall knowledge and understanding of the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy and Dhamma in Buddhism of officers of the Directorate of Inspector General is rated at a high level. The officers with different personal factors have the knowledge and understanding of the concepts of the philosophy and Dhamma in Buddhism not differed. The overall application of the concepts of the philosophy and Dhamma in Buddhism into their life style is rated at a high level. Officers with different personal factors have applied the concept of the philosophy and Dhamma in Buddhism into their life style not differed at all aspects except the aspect of marital status. Their knowledge and understanding about the concepts of the philosophy and Dhamma in Buddhism and apply the two concepts into their life style has not related to each other of both in general and at each aspect.
